Terms of Use
Effective 7 August 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms govern use of reportfuel.com and the separate secure portal at secure.reportfuel.com. By using either service, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.
Operator
Report Fuel™ is an initiative of Fuel Wholesalers Association (Pty) Ltd, Unit 40 Oaklane Office Park, 111 Grippen Road, Bartlett, Boksburg, 1459. General notices may be sent to report@reportfuel.com.
Separate public and secure systems
The public website provides information and does not receive, email or store incident reports. Reports, attachments and reporter follow-up must be handled through secure.reportfuel.com. Do not send report contents, evidence or access codes by ordinary email.
Not an emergency service
Report Fuel is not an emergency service or law-enforcement agency. If anyone is in immediate danger or a crime is in progress, contact SAPS on 10111 or emergency services from a mobile phone on 112.
Responsible use
You may submit concerns that you honestly and reasonably believe relate to petroleum-industry misconduct. Distinguish direct observations from assumptions and include only relevant information.
You must not knowingly submit false, fabricated, malicious, defamatory or misleading information; impersonate another person; obtain evidence unlawfully; upload harmful code; attempt to identify an anonymous reporter; bypass access controls; threaten or retaliate against another person; or use automated tools in a way that harms the services.
Safety and evidence
Do not confront a suspected person, enter restricted property, place anyone at risk or break the law to obtain evidence. Preserve original files and records where lawful.
Identity choices and access codes
The secure portal offers anonymous, confidential and identified reporting. No platform can promise absolute anonymity or confidentiality in every circumstance. Keep the generated access code private and safe. Report Fuel cannot recover a lost access code, and anyone who obtains it may be able to access the reporter channel.
Reports are allegations
A report is an allegation or concern, not a finding of guilt. Report Fuel may assess relevance, credibility, urgency and risk, request further information or refer information to an appropriate competent body. Submission does not guarantee investigation, referral, enforcement, publication or a particular outcome.
Legal protection
Using Report Fuel does not automatically make a disclosure protected under the Protected Disclosures Act 26 of 2000 or another law. Report Fuel does not provide legal advice. Obtain independent legal advice if you are concerned about employment consequences, privilege, confidentiality duties or legal protection.
Privacy and intellectual property
Personal information is handled under the Privacy and POPIA Notice. Report Fuel branding and original website materials are protected by applicable law; third-party materials remain subject to their respective licences.
Availability and external links
Reasonable efforts are made to maintain security and availability, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. External links are provided for convenience and remain subject to the third party’s terms and privacy practices.
Liability and governing law
Public information is general guidance and is not legal, regulatory, technical or professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fuel Wholesalers Association (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general website information or service interruption. Nothing excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Changes
These terms may be updated when services, procedures or legal requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated when material changes are published.
