Before you submit
- Use a device and internet connection you consider appropriate for your circumstances.
- Do not use a work email address or monitored workplace device if doing so could create a risk for you.
- Do not trespass, impersonate another person, intercept communications or obtain evidence unlawfully.
- Do not place yourself in danger to photograph, sample, record or recover evidence.
- Preserve original documents and files where you lawfully possess them. Avoid editing or annotating originals.
- Record what you personally observed separately from what somebody else told you.
Choose the reporting option that suits you
Anonymous
No name, email address or phone number is required. Anonymous reporting can reduce the information available for follow-up, so provide clear facts and retain your access code.
Confidential
You provide identity or contact information for follow-up, with access restricted under Report Fuel’s defined handling controls and subject to applicable legal obligations.
Identified
You provide your details and permit reasonable follow-up or identification where appropriate to the matter.
Use the secure portal only
Incident reports, evidence and access codes must not be sent to Report Fuel by ordinary email or entered on this public WordPress website. Reports are submitted only through secure.reportfuel.com, which is separate from the public website.
Protect your access code
After submission, the secure portal generates an access code for protected follow-up. Keep it somewhere safe. Do not email it to Report Fuel, publish it or share it unnecessarily. Report Fuel cannot recover a lost anonymous access code for you.
Provide facts, not conclusions
Describe what happened, where and when; identify the people, businesses, vehicles, products or facilities involved where known; explain how you know; and distinguish direct observations from assumptions. A report is an allegation to be assessed, not a finding of guilt.
Evidence
Useful material may include invoices, delivery notes, lawful photographs, vehicle or tanker details, licence information, laboratory reports, receipts and contemporaneous notes. Submit only information you are authorised to share. Keep originals unchanged wherever possible.
Immediate danger
Report Fuel is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, a crime in progress, fire, spill or other urgent safety risk, contact the appropriate emergency or competent authority first.
